Taian Wastewater Treatment Plant Sludge Disposal Project

2025-05-14

The Tai'an Wastewater Treatment Plant is located in Taishan District, Tai'an City, Shandong Province. Construction began in 1989, with actual construction starting in 1990, and the plant officially started normal operations in early 1993. It primarily handles domestic sewage from the urban area, with a treatment capacity of 50,000 tons per day. In 2019, in line with the construction tasks and requirements of the Mount Tai Regional Ecological Restoration Project focusing on mountains, water, forests, farmland, lakes, and grasslands, the wastewater treatment plant initiated its fourth-phase renovation. While the treatment capacity remains at 50,000 tons per day, the core process—multi-stage, multi-section AO technology—has stayed unchanged. The main addition this time is a newly constructed workshop dedicated to advanced sludge treatment. This advanced sludge treatment process primarily employs "sludge deep dewatering plus ultra-high-temperature aerobic fermentation," designed to handle 40 tons of sludge daily.
